32 new strips uploaded!, which takes us up to just before mid-November of last year. These strips take Heavenly up to #341, and then start off the “x” series of numbering, which I used to experiment with new inking styles and which later just started taking on a life of its own, as you all will hopefully soon see.
So, last year, Heavenly got hacked, which was my own fault as I had failed to properly keep my WordPress/ComicPress up to date.
While the hacking sucked, it did present me the opportunity to revamp my site and rethink my artistic approach to the comic (whether there had been any previous artistic approach to the comic is up for debate).
And I procrastinated, up till now.
I got the website back up and running, and all the comic strips that had been published up to, and that were to have been published a bit after, the hacking online. Since the hacking it has been my goal to relaunch the site, new and improved, with a buffer of unpublished comic strips that were scheduled to have been published during the dates the site was offline, so that, in effect, the comic wouldn’t have missed a beat and comics would still have come out, theoretically, 3 times a week.
But, I got behind, and now I’m playing catch up. During the time the site was offline, I was still writing and drawing Heavenly (and even changed how I ink the comic), but not with the same “urgency” has I had done before. But, it is my goal to get the comic up to speed, and I’m trying my best to do that.
Right now, the site is bare bones, a skeleton. My immediate goals are to get the comic back up to date and then work on making the website pretty, functional, and informative.
As always, the comic, and this website, are works in progress.
